At your complimentary consultation appointment, Dr. Markova will do a full face analysis with the Six Elements Philosophy to make sure that the chin, lips, jaws, and teeth are in balance.
Sometimes, the jaws did not grow as expected and jaw surgery is necessary to correct the bite and improve facial esthetics. The most common issues that jaw surgery corrects is sleep apnea and underbites. Dr. Markova will work closely with an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon throughout the entire course of treatment.

Phase I Orthodontics and
Early Treatment
The American Academy of Orthodontists recommends that every child see an orthodontist around the age of 7 years. Dr. Markova will check to make sure that adult teeth are coming in without problems and check the growth of the jaws and face.
Sometimes, the upper jaw does not grow enough and a child needs an expander or spacer. This is common and something that needs to be done in a younger child since we cannot fix this later on as the child enters their teen years.
Many times, we will also straighten the upper 4 front teeth with mini braces.
Phase I Orthodontics means anything we can do to help the teeth and jaws develop normally as early treatment. Phase II means full braces - we do this Phase quite a few years later, when the child is a teenager.

ITero intraoral scanner –The ITero scanner creates highly accurate 3D digital models eliminating the need for traditional plaster molds. Offering a substantial increase in model accuracy of traditional modeling techniques, the ITero scanner enables the creation of extremely precise Invisalign® trays. In-house digital modeling substantially reduces Invisalign® turnaround time, meaning patients can start their treatment much sooner.
Orthodontic 3D Simulation – Using the latest OrthoCAD software we create a 3D simulation of patient’s teeth both before and what can be expected after treatment. In under 3 minutes our patients can see a 3D model of what their teeth will look like after Invisalign® treatment.

What to Expect for your Consultation Appointment
Dr. Markova will see you for a complimentary smile and facial analysis. The appointment will last about 45 minutes. All treatment details will be thoroughly discussed. If you have a recent panoramic X-ray taken at your dentist, please email it to us or we can call to obtain X-rays from your dentist prior to seeing you.
